Who we are
All Around Gifts ("we", "us") runs allaroundgifts.co.uk and is responsible for your personal data. Our address is 72 NEVILLE STREET, NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS, WA12 9DB, ENGLAND. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number (if given), delivery address and what you bought.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password — we can't see your actual password.
- Payment details: when you pay by PayPal, PayPal handles your payment details; we only receive confirmation that you've paid. For bank transfers we see the payment in our bank account.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or in an order note.
How we use it
- To process, deliver and support your order (to perform our contract with you).
- To send emails about your order, account and password resets.
- To keep records for tax and accounting (a legal obligation).
- To protect the shop against fraud and misuse (our legitimate interests).
We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Who we share it with
- Delivery companies (such as Royal Mail) — your name and address, to deliver your parcel.
- PayPal — if you choose to pay with PayPal.
- Our website hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare, which help run the site and keep it safe.
- Google Fonts — our pages load fonts from Google, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for 6 years to meet tax rules. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Password reset links expire after 1 hour.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep your basket and login working while you browse. It isn't used for tracking or advertising, so we don't ask for consent for it. PayPal may set its own cookies if you pay with PayPal.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — but we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
